Simone Jeker

Managing Director

She has been running Book a home since 2010 with enthusiasm, accuracy and her strong sense of hospitality. Determined and dedicated over all these years, she has established Book a home into a family business.

Within a few years, Simone succeeded in building a rich portfolio from just a few apartments. This success is reflected in the positive response of Book a home’s clientele and in a highly motivated team of employees, who convincedly share the company’s idea: to provide temporary living environments for people that are as close to home as possible.

As a well-traveled woman, Simone communicates easily in German, English as well as Spanish – and also very happily in Italian, if it doesn’t have to be perfect.

Simone loves interacting with people, so in her free time she also likes to be out and about with family and friends – hiking or going for long walks, mostly with her four-legged friends by her side: the Romanian mongrel dog Loa and the Westie-Maltese mix Whoopie.

Michele Candeloro

Project Manager

Project manager at Book a home since 2016 and indispensable when it comes to the planning and designing of our guest apartments. Both in interior design and in conversions and renovations, we can fully rely on his sense of style and his drive. He also uses these skills together with the Book a home team in the areas of marketing and internal projects.

We are happy to have an Italian on board who speaks fluent German, Portuguese, French and English in addition to his native language.

In his free time, he relaxes by jogging and cycling as well as taking long walks with his mongrel dog Tychi at the beautiful Katzensee. He found Tychi in Umbria, took her straight to his heart, adopted her decisively and naturalized her in Switzerland ;-).

Sandra Michel

Accounting and Administration

Accounting angel and number expert at Book a home since 2013. Highly capable she manages real estate accounting and contract documents, and she is also responsible for several important administrative processes in the company.

Due to her careful, accurate and concentrated handling of numbers as well as her helpful nature, Sandra is a great support for the entire team – and a reliable popular contact person for our customers.

Sandra’s native language is German, and with her very good English she is also highly valued by our international contacts.

When Sandra is not in the office, she loves to devote her time to family and friends. She also very much enjoys being out in nature with her cute polonka dog Lulu.

Tania Barbosa

Housekeeping Manager

Since June 2021 the housekeeping manager at Book a home that no one would want to miss.
She is responsible for the instruction of the cleaning staff, the management and the condition inspection of our furnished apartments. She fulfills these important tasks with quasi innate organizational talent, great care and high flexibility.
Besides her native Portuguese, she shines with multilingual know-how: she also speaks German, Spanish, Italian and English.
Tania loves spending time with her family, listening to music and meditating.

Katrin Wegelin

Client Relation & Project Manager

Since October 2021 with full commitment responsible for customer concerns, inquiries and apartment bookings. She is able to focus on important details and keeps an eye on even the smallest customer requests. Living with comfort and a sense of well-being, especially for people who (have to) change their four walls again and again for professional reasons, is a personal concern of hers.

Her charming accent reveals that she is from Cologne – she also speaks French and English just as naturally, elegantly and perfectly.

Katrin likes to be active – on long-distance travel or in the Swiss mountains; sometimes sporty, sometimes completely relaxed in chill mode with her loved ones.
